RAHO Club Sponsors Nano Bubble Research for Parkinsonism
Surabaya, NET88.CO – Following numerous successful studies on nano bubble technology for treating various degenerative diseases, particularly those caused by vascular blockages such as heart disease and stroke, the Indonesian Molecular Institute (IMI) is now collaborating with Brawijaya University Hospital (RSUB) to concentrate on the effectiveness of nano bubble technology as a complementary therapy. This new research is anticipated to be highly effective for patients with parkinsonism. Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that causes the progressive decline of nerve cell function. In 2016, more than 6.1 million people worldwide were diagnosed with Parkinson's.
The research is fully supported by IMI's senior neurologist, Dr. dr. Emmy Endang, Sp.S, CIPS. The team of doctors researching Parkinsonism includes dr. Siti Nurlaela, Sp.S, dr. Aris Widayati, Sp.S, dr. Novita Titis Harbiyanti, Sp.S, and dr. An Nisaa Novrizka Sari, Sp.N from RSUB, with support from expert partner dr. Eko Arisetijono, Sp.S(K).
dr. Siti Nurlaela, Sp.S, the head of the research team, stated, "This research is a breakthrough in the management of parkinsonism, as current therapies only control symptoms without repairing nerve damage," explained dr. Ela. "This research will be conducted at RSUB Malang for one year until 2025," she continued.
The findings from the professors and researchers at Brawijaya University suggest that nano bubble technology is very safe and effective as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective agent. This research is expected to benefit parkinsonism patients by improving disease severity, cognitive function, and overall quality of life.
IMI is a small-molecule-based research institution aiming to enhance the quality of life and well-being of society. Supported by the RAHO Club, IMI is committed to delivering research results that directly benefit the community and provide consultation services based on scientific studies.
This research is also expected to strengthen RSUB as an educational hospital that not only provides healthcare services but also plays a role in research and the advancement of medical science.
