Collaborating with Faculty of Computer Science UB, IMI Utilizes AI to Study Nano Bubble Technology

MALANG POST – The Indonesian Molecular Institute (IMI) is partnering with the Faculty of Computer Science (Filkom) at Brawijaya University to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) in evidence-based research on nano bubble technology.

This collaboration marks the first research in Indonesia utilizing AI in the field of nano bubble technology, showcasing the innovative potential of AI research.

The Indonesian Molecular Institute (IMI) focuses on harnessing the potential of small molecules to improve the quality of life for society.

In this research project, Filkom UB involves several faculty members, including Dr. Eng. Novanto Yudistira, S.Kom., M.Sc., and Dr. Ir. Lailil Muflikhah, S.Kom., M.Sc., along with several Filkom students from the Intelligent Systems Laboratory.

Dr. Novanto Yudistira, the head of the AI research team, explained that the collaboration between IMI and Filkom UB involves utilizing AI in evidence-based research related to the effects of nano bubble technology on enhancing quality of life. Clinical data for AI development is sourced from members of the Reverse Aging and Homeostasis (RAHO) club who have used nano bubble technology.

“Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently widely utilized and rapidly developing globally, including in Indonesia.

"AI's ability to analyze large-scale data quickly, recognize specific patterns, and make automated decisions has driven significant changes in various fields of life," said Dr. Novanto Yudistira on Monday (May 13, 2024).

"AI enhances productivity and efficiency through rapid and accurate data analysis, and the development of innovative solutions."

In this research, IMI provides GPU-based computing equipment for AI model computation using large-scale data.

By utilizing large-scale data, AI modeling can draw research conclusions, make predictions, and offer research suggestions.

The AI research is centered in the Intelligent Systems Lab at Filkom UB and is part of a two-year collaboration between IMI and Filkom, starting from 2023 until 2025.

“The aim of this research is to develop an AI application capable of predictive analysis and drawing conclusions about the effects of nano bubble technology on health,” said Dr. Novanto.

He added that the research results are expected to produce publications and AI modeling prototypes for predictions. This would allow conclusions about the effects of nano bubble technology on health to be drawn.

"Therefore, we plan to have two publications from this research, focusing on histopathology image data and clinical data," concluded Dr. Novanto. (Ra Indrata)
