Subagyo is a surgeon specialist in Cardiovascular Thoracic. In 1994, he was once a Surgical Staff at General Hospital dr. Saiful Anwar, Malang, and became Head of the Department of Surgery in 2005-2008. He attended a fellowship program at Hospital Melbourne Australia for Cardiac Surgery from 1999-2000. He was the Chairman of the Indonesian doctor association in Malang region from 2007-2012 for 2 terms. Besides, he founded the Free Radical Research Institute in 2007 and is currently on the advisory board.
