Widyarti is a lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and at the Master's Program in Biomedicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. A number of biology books have been written including Cell Biology: A Perspective on Understanding Life in 2017 published by UB Press and Molecular Biology of Basic Principles of Analysis in 2011 published by Erlangga.
