Gatot is a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor. He is involved in some organizations, such as the Association of Indonesian Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists and the Indonesian Medical Association. Currently, Gatot is a physician of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Panti Waluya Sawahan Hospital, Malang, East Java, and a researcher at IMI.
